ART CAMP - Barham NSW June 2015

ART CAMP 2015
13th & 14th June, 2015

I am excited at announce the first studio workshop for the 2015 winter/spring season. The first ART CAMP will be held on 13 th & 14th June, amongst the towering red gums of the Thule Lagoon. I will lead a day teaching the art of sketchbooking. In my class I will talk about my love of making and working in sketchbooks and how these drawings provide the basis for my painting and printmaking work. The sketchbooks become a work of art in their own right and are a treasured part of my art practice. We will spend the day wandering the farm and taking in the many sites, drawing, watercolouring and experimenting with a variety of media to create interesting visual material.

Day 2 will be a day of drypoint etching referencing the images made the previous day, led by our host Wendy McDonald. You will learn to make a drypoint plate and be able to print the image on Wendy's press in the studio. This is a great introduction to printmaking if you have ever thought about giving it a go!

As well as tuition and materials, the price of $385 pp. includes:

Accommodation for Fri and Sat night - your choice of a bed in the studio cottage OR camping by the fire, under the stars, in a canvas swag or tent (which we will provide for you). There are 4 places available for the camping or cottage option, you choose!
